Rustic Vines
Hello Monday 👋🏻
We are in the mood for some Wine today, what about you? Here is an introduction of Wines - while waiting to come and taste it for real - produced in the winery of our partner and friend Château Palais Cardinal.
Maybe some of you already visited it on tour with Rustic Vines?
.
1. Château Palais Cardinal 2016 is a powerful, fruity and oaked wine from the great appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. With a majority of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, you might drink it with some food like duck breast cooked with vines shoot. It received the gold medal at Bordeaux Wine Challenge 2019 and the rate 91-92/100 by James Suckling.
.
2. Le Palatin 2016 is the second label of Château Palais Cardinal. Still made with a majority of Merlot, it is blend with Cabernet Franc this time. Aged 15 months in old barrels and concrete tanks, you can enjoy this fruity and lightly oaked wine right now, with a duck confit if you can 😉
It received the great rate of 90/100 at the Decanter World Wine Challenge 2019.
.
3. With 10 acres of Bordeaux located next to their vines in Saint-Emilion appellation, they are producing this Château Haut-Boutisse. With a short ageing exclusively in concrete tanks they want this wine to be fruity, light and easy to drink. You can enjoy it as an aperitif with ham and young cheese. Vintage 2018 just received a Gold Medal at the Independent Winemaker Challenge 2020.
.
Cheers!
